  1. Avoid sugar, and sugar containing foods. This includes lollies, chocolate, cakes, pastries, biscuits, dried fruit, fruit juice, soft drinks.
     
  2. Eat small frequent meals.
     
  3. Eat protein foods at every meal. This includes meat, fish, eggs, nuts and seeds, nut butters, dairy products (cheese, yoghurt), tofu.
     
  4. Consume 2-3 cups vegetables/salads per day.
     
  5. Choose wholegrain products.
     
  6. Consume fish 3-4 times per week. The best choices are salmon, sardines, mackerel and herring.
     
  7. Avoid coffee and caffeinated products.
     
  8. Avoid alcohol and soft drinks.
     
  9. Drink 2-3 litres of water daily.
     
  10. Exercise.
     
  11. Find appropriate ways to deal with any stress in your day.
