Eating for healthy digestion
  1. Take time to eat and enjoy your meals.
     
  2. Avoid consuming beverages with dinner.
     
  3. Identify and eliminate food allergens. The most common are:

  4. Eat small frequent meals.
     
  5. Reduce alcohol and caffeine.

    • Fruits and vegetables
    • Lentils and legumes
     
  7. Herbal teas can be soothing to the digestive tract, particularly chamomile, peppermint, fennel and dill.
     
  8. Useful supplements to discuss with your practitioner.
    • Probiotics - acidophilus, bifidus
    • Slippery elm powder
    • Peppermint enteric-coated capsules
    • Apple cider vinegar
    • Digestive enzymes
