Simple remedies for colds and flus
Chop up a whole onion and 3 cloves of garlic. Put into a bowl and cover with honey (Manuka is best but not essential). Cover bowl and allow the honey to infuse. After a few hours a lovely syrup will form. Leave onion and garlic in the bowl to infuse. Take teaspoonfuls of the syrup to help with sore throats, coughs and colds. Great for the kids.. Refrigerate during summer but during winter this is Ok to be left in a cool dry place.
In a cup add 2 chopped garlic cloves, 1cm chopped ginger, juice of 1 lemon and 1 teaspoon honey. Add hot water and allow to infuse for 5minutes. Strain and sip. Great for colds and flus.
Have a hot shower, smother yourself in essential oil massage oil, put on your pyjamas, have a hot lemon drink, go to bed and put the covers on. Sleep for as long as possible. This should induce a nice sweat which will help to kill the bugs. Have the next day off work/kids/jobs.
