What weakens the immune system?
- Allergies
- Constant contact with viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites
- Medications - long term or frequent use of medications such as antibiotics and cortisone
- Negative emotions - stress, anger, depression and grief
- Diet - high in processed foods, sugar, colours, preservatives (these increase toxins in the body and depletes the body of important nutrients needed for immunity)
- Nutritional deficiencies - Healthy immune system needs Vitamins A,C,E, B’s, Zinc, selenium, iron, essential fatty acids and protein
- Lack of sleep

- Wholegrains - oats, wholemeal bread (unless gluten intolerance), brown rice, wholemeal pasta, millet, barley
- Fruit and vegetables
- Variety of protein - eggs, legumes, nuts and seeds, fish, chicken, meat
- Healthy fats - avocados, nuts, seeds, fish, flaxseed, olive oil
- Water
